How quickly can we get a proposal?
We deliver a fixed-scope proposal within 48 business hours of our initial site visit or discovery call. The proposal includes a clear scope of work, itemized pricing, a construction timeline, and payment milestones — no vague estimates.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes. MAAF Construction is fully licensed in Ohio, bonded, and carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We can provide certificates of insurance at any point in the process — typically before signing a contract.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Absolutely. We manage all permit applications, coordinate with municipal inspectors, and ensure every phase of the build meets local code and Ohio Department of Commerce requirements. You won't need to chase a single stamp.
What does a typical office build-out timeline look like?
A standard office fit-out of 5,000–15,000 sq ft typically runs 3–6 months from permit approval to handoff. Larger or more complex builds (MEP-heavy, medical, industrial) may run 6–12 months. We set a detailed Gantt chart at kickoff so you can plan your move-in date with confidence.
Do you work outside of Ohio?
Our home base is Columbus, OH and we work extensively throughout Ohio. For projects in neighboring states — Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Michigan — we evaluate on a project-by-project basis. Reach out and we'll let you know quickly.
What happens if we need to change the scope mid-project?
Scope changes are handled through a straightforward change-order process. We document every modification in writing, agree on the cost and timeline impact before any additional work begins, and update the contract accordingly. No surprises on the final invoice.
What warranty do you offer on your work?
All MAAF projects come with a written 1-year workmanship warranty on labor and materials we supply. Manufacturer warranties on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment are passed through directly to you. We also offer extended coverage programs — ask us for details.
What's the minimum project size you take on?
We focus on commercial projects starting at approximately $150,000. This allows us to assign a dedicated project lead, maintain the quality control standards we're known for, and give your build the attention it deserves from day one.
